peerTransfer Expands Executive Team

peerTransfer, a leading provider of global payment solutions for international students and their schools, today announced that Michael Massaro has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Mr. Massaro will be responsible for sales and marketing operations as well as strategic partnerships. He joins the Company’s Executive Team reporting directly to CEO and Founder, Iker Marcaide.

Announcing the appointment, Mr. Marcaide said, "Mr. Massaro will play a key role in our efforts to solidify our position as leaders in the US international student payments market and expand into new solutions in the educational industry. With this new addition, we will be in a better position to further help our schools and international students with valuable and exciting new offerings.”

Prior to joining peerTransfer, Mr. Massaro was Vice President, Strategic Accounts & Corporate Development at Carrier iQ. At Carrier iQ, he lead the global sales team in revenue for five years and was responsible for new market development and global alliances including Nielsen and IBM.

Before Carrier iQ, Mr. Massaro held numerous sales and consulting positions at edocs, Inc. which was acquired by Siebel Systems in 2004 and subsequently by Oracle in 2005.

Massaro began his career as part of the technical risk services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and is a graduate of Babson College.
