On August 5th, 2026, the Flywire London office experienced a glorious takeover. Forget standard meetings and spreadsheets—our desk spaces were officially handed over to the next generation of software developers, relationship managers, marketing gurus, accountants, and maybe even a future CEO or two for our 2nd annual London FlyKids Day!
Masterminded by the dream team—Senior Program Manager Jen Howard, Project Manager & Culture Ambassador, Charlotte Riley, and Director of Global Implementation, EDU & Office Champion, Veronica Johnstone—the day was packed with epic activities. Our special guests spanned all ages, from energetic 11-year-olds down to 4-month-old FlyBaby Vesper, who stole everyone's hearts (and snagged plenty of cuddles).
Scavenger hunts & AI room makeovers
True to the Flywire culture, instant camaraderie sparked among the kids as they dived headfirst into crafting, building, and tackling two major challenges built to test their creativity, ingenuity, and confidence.
First up: Selfie Bingo! Equipped with parental supervision, the mini-investigators scoured the office to snap six distinct scenes—including finding a cozy napping spot, an outdoor lunch space, and a Travel team member who roots for Arsenal.

Next came the main event: The AI Office Redesign. The kids picked an office spot they deemed "boring" and used Gemini to dream up wild transformations. The results? Pure genius! A standard corner meeting room became a vibrant disco pool party, a disused space turned into a high-fashion design studio, and the team determined that a safari-themed climbing wall is essential for maximum productivity.

Grilling the CEO (and ice cream overload!)
After fueling up on pizza and ice cream piled high with waaaaay too many sprinkles, it was time for the feature session: grilling Flywire CEO Mike Massaro. In a sugar-fueled, delightfully chaotic Q&A, the kids uncovered crucial intel: Mike’s favorite sport is soccer, his top food is pizza, if he were a dinosaur for a day he’d be a flying one, and his favorite Flymate is Co-President of EDU, Sharon Butler!
