Job Description:
Develop domain knowledge and resolve customer requests in a timely manner. Provide technical support to both internal and external customers by quickly and efficiently describing complex problems. Make product configuration changes based on customers’ requests. Collaborate with relationship manager to help customer test configuration changes in Test environment and promote changes to production environment. Flywire CRS suite of products adapts an Agile methodology to release feature/enhancements/bug fixes on a very frequent basis. Monitor performance attributes to ensure the product is operating within parameters and monitor real-time and batch process communication between Flywire and customers environments. Identify and prioritize tasks to work in a fast-paced environment. Solve issues in development environment, bugs beyond current scope, and production issues. Apply both technical and communication expertise to solve ambiguous problems and explain it in plain English. On-call to provide off-hour client support. Telecommuting permissible; must be available to work during EST business hours.
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related engineering support role.
Experience and/or education must include:
- SQL: Using relational database structure and writing SQL query language using SQL JOINS (Inner/Outer/Full) involving multiple database tables to analyze complex data related issues;
- UNIX/LINUX: Navigating UNIX environment in Amazon Web Services (AWS) setup, UNIX file structure, user permissions, executing system level commands and utilities, and resolving on-hand queries related to file format, encryption, and file transfers;
- JAVA and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Reading code using Integrated Development Environment (IDE) Eclipse/IntelliJ, debugging customer issues in development environment, and reporting product bugs/issues to engineering team;
- Web Technologies and Database Design: Deciphering technical communication between two systems, including HTTP request/response and GET/Post methods;
- JIRA/Confluence: Managing technical support engineering documentation related to customer issues, cross team processes, and internal team training in Confluence and creating Flywire CRS product bugs/ enhancements/support tools tickets in JIRA; and
- Supporting customer queries with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,901/yr - $144,901/yr plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
