The Opportunity:

We, at Flywire, are seeking a Global Head of Total Rewards to join our amazing People Team! This is an excellent opportunity to build & lead the Total Rewards (i.e., fixed & variable comp + perks + benefits) team to effectively evaluate, design, propose, implement, and communicate compensation strategy, philosophy, programs, policies and programs that competitively position Flywire as a global ‘Employer of Choice’.

In this role you will lead the strategic design, implementation, and administration of the company’s broad based compensation and total rewards programs, including managing and evolving Flywire’s job architecture, base pay, short-term incentives, benefits, & perks for growing business verticals.

Additionally, you will create strategies and programs that support a global and diverse workforce of top talent to help achieve Flywire’s growth strategies globally! As a key stakeholder, you will be working closely with hiring managers, executives, and People Partners as you execute on implementing best practices and strategies to meet and exceed our goals. 

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the global Total Rewards (i.e., compensation, benefits, and perks programs) for all FlyMates across multiple sites, countries, and jurisdictions

  • Leads executive compensation initiatives including the creation of executive compensation plan strategy and program design, Compensation and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors meeting materials, annual proxy, and CD&A.

  • Develop and lead the Company's comprehensive global Total Rewards strategy leveraging compelling and equitable compensation and benefits programs that will attract and retain talent as a ‘global employer of choice’ and that aligns to Flywire’s business strategies and People Team vision by evaluating business challenges, exploring alternative solutions, and recommending best-fit solutions, and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manages global benefit plan strategy and execution for retirement and health and welfare programs including plan design, vendor relationships, annual renewal recommendations, open enrollment, and implementation of new plans, changes to existing plans, and day-to-day administration.

  • Fulfills all accounting and audit requests for the Total Rewards function, including completing the monthly budgeting and forecasting deliverables, performing monthly, quarterly, and annual controls for audit purposes, and participating in the development and execution of future-state budget initiatives and audit processes.

  • Serves as Total Rewards point of contact for mergers & acquisitions and divestitures including all aspects of due diligence and interaction with target companies

  • Prepares and presents materials to board members at quarterly Committee meetings. Partners with CEO, COO, CPO, CFO, General Counsel, investor relations, board members, Legal and Finance teams to ensure clear and accurate materials.

  • Lead the proposal, development, implementation, and iteration of a Total Rewards plan that aligns with Flywire’s growing, global business and is inclusive of all rewards (base compensation and short & long-term incentives) and global benefits & perks, (e.g., health and welfare, 401k/retirement, voluntary benefits, and wellbeing programs).

  • Develop simple tools that can be used by recruiters, candidates, and employees to effectively communicate all aspects of a Total Rewards compensation package.

  • Partner with CPO, CEO, COO, & CFO and L&D, Global People Partner, Internal Communications teams to effectively communicate the value story of all Flywire compensation, benefits, & perks programs.

  • Lead successful annual compensation planning & administration including but not limited to execution of base salary, bonus, short and long term incentives, benefits and all related communications and administration.

  • Provide thought leadership to the business on compensation issues including new hire packages, performance recognition, incentive plans, retention arrangements and overall compensation structure.

  • In partnership with Finance and Global Talent Acquisition, establish the Strategic Workforce Plan and compensation budgets as well as guidelines for all Flywire locations, globally.

  • Establish and maintain alignment between performance management and future succession planning processes and pay programs.

  • Partner cross-functionally and externally on equity programs benchmarking & alignment with Flywire’s Total Rewards strategy; ensuring that they are competitive and that administration of them is set to scale globally. Align with leadership, including CPO, CFO, Legal and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors on strategic plans for Executive Compensation.

  • Demonstrates sound understanding of local, state, and federal compliance laws, including DOL, FLSA, Anti-Trust Regulations

  • Proactively seeks to improve processes, raising quality and productivity through efficiencies or by implementing best-in-class solutions; makes process changes to existing ways of working to significantly improve results

  • Plan acquisition and use of resources, tools, platforms and technology solutions for market pricing, compensation offer development, process management and communications

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years’ experience in global compensation, benefits, and perks program strategy design, implementation, & administration experience, including broad-based compensation design, executive compensation  and sales compensation in a competitive, fast-growing, company

  • Experience gained in scaling high growth, publicly-traded, tech companies is strongly preferred

  • Create and manage innovative, compelling compensation, benefits, and perks programs in a fast-paced environment; skilled at interpreting business needs and making decisions based on emerging priorities

  • Experienced developing clear, simple, & effective communication and education tools regarding Flywire’s compensation, equity, and total rewards philosophies, reward practices, and the business impact behind

  • Demonstrates advanced Communication & Presentation proficiency using Microsoft Excel, GoogleSheets, GoogleSlides, PowerPoint, and PowerBI

  • Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations

  • Proven track record of leading, prioritizing and driving to success multiple projects with a strong operational background
