The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of National Sales, the Senior Sales Manager, Eastern Canada is a key member of the Flywire sales team. The Senior Sales Manager, Eastern Canada is responsible for leading sales and distribution functions within the Quebec & Atlantic Canadian region. This role requires a high-energy individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is relentlessly focused on leveraging Flywire’s platform to solve complex problems for our clients.
The role operates in a fast-paced environment as part of a dynamic, hardworking, performance-focused sales team. The mandate is to generate material revenue growth through new client acquisition within the Higher Education vertical across Eastern Canada. The role also requires strong internal partnership and cross-functional collaboration across various internal teams including product, partner integrations, global payments & pricing, technology, legal, compliance and marketing.
- Support in the development and execution of Flywire’s new client acquisition strategies to deliver on sales goals and objectives within the Eastern Canada region.
- Quickly establish and maintain deep client relationships as a “trusted advisor” to prospective Flywire EUD clients within the region.
- Leverage a proven track record of successfully managing sales cycles and large-scale client deployments in a bilingual (French / English) environment.
- In-depth understanding of Flywire’s EDU product suite to effectively identify new client opportunities and match Flywire’s offering to specific client needs.
- Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to lead client presentations and RFP deal teams end-to-end (both French & English languages required)
- Formulate and lead the execution strategy for key industry conferences and events within the Eastern Canada region with a focus on positive ROI through winning new deals, expanding the pipeline and deepening client relationships.
- Responsible for regional pipeline planning and deal support for Relationship Managers to help execute against regional performance objectives.
- Maintain extremely high productivity levels with an emphasis on effective time management and accuracy.
- Maintain strong awareness of trends, competitive solutions, client needs and regulatory considerations.
Here's What We're Looking For:
- Bilingual; must be fluent in French & English
- Experience in Fintech, Payments and/or Banking
- Undergraduate University degree
- In-depth understanding of Payments and FX with prior experience working with financial technology integrations
- Proven track record of winning new business with large-scale client deployments
- Understanding and awareness of payments industry and Flywire product suite
- Excellent analytical and intellectual capabilities; ability to draft comprehensive proposals both in French and English
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail is required
- Ability to think strategically and conceptualize ideas in an entrepreneurial manner
- Exceptional communication skills sufficient to provide detailed explanation of factual and conceptual information and ideas to prospective clients
- Proven track record of building strong internal relationships (i.e. product, pricing, technology, legal, compliance and marketing teams).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and create a focus around what is strategically important, is approachable, viewed as a team player and eager to assist in all aspects of the business
- Promotes a culture of teamwork with a personal drive to exceed expectations
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results oriented work environment with excellent time management skills
- Extensive travel within the region is required
