The Opportunity:
Flywire is seeking a Payments Specialist to lead the day-to-day management of our vertical clients for card processing needs. This individual will align with the vertical stakeholders to support prospect sales for merchant services solutions, client onboarding, and merchant acquirer integrations. This individual will leverage their dynamic expertise to drive value to the overall vertical sales process through statement analysis, explanation of fees, and value that a combined software with payments experience can deliver. This individual will work within the Global Payments team while also collaborating between software, payments, pricing, and compliance. This individual will report to and support the Sr. Manager, Card Payments with strategic projects, merchant acquiring partnerships, new payment initiatives, and new client onboarding.
Sales Enablement:
- Collaborate with all verticals sales teams to support their prospects and clients
- Develop strategic talking points and presentations to include with all sales activities
- Engage on innovative strategies to improve go to market communications
- Strategically align with merchant acquiring partners to ensure best processing services and rates are available to our verticals
- Engage with Compliance and Legal to ensure merchant programs are compliant in each vertical/region
- Align with Sr Manager, Card Payments to deliver training guides, card pricing expertise, and marketing messaging to drive merchant services value to our verticals
Client Onboarding/Client Management
- Manage all onboarding processes for new merchant services clients
- Develop streamlined processes to simplify the merchant services onboarding process
- Engage with merchant acquirers on new tools and products to enhance the sales process
- Support vertical implementations team on resolving any merchant services challenges uncovered during the client onboarding process
- Review pricing from partners and work to analyze new cost programs to maximize revenue with our merchant services models
- Assist Global Payments teams on support of transaction level issues
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of professional work experience is required
- 2+ years of experience working in the Healthcare, B2B or Education market is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in card payments at an acquirer, card scheme or in a role that required supporting merchant processing or working with software solutions integrated with payment acquiring services
- Experience with managing support issues and working with teams on resolution
- Strong communication and presentation skills to break down challenging support issues and communicate resolution with the key stakeholders
- Experience working within a team to solve complex support issues
- Proven ability to manage multiple challenges on a daily basis
- Demonstrated success in large complex organizations
- Collaborative working style to enable the broader teams to resolve issues
- Experience working with software solutions
- Working knowledge of merchant processing services
- Creative mindset to identify streamlined processes for resolving support issues
- Ability to work in a team environment across multiple solutions
