The Opportunity:
We, at Flywire, are seeking a Head of Equity Compensation to provide leadership over Flywire’s Stock Compensation & Awards. This individual will be results-oriented with experience working in culturally diverse teams in a high growth environment.
- Administer Flywire’s global stock plans, including processing of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Stock Options and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) grants, vesting events, ESPP purchases and share distributions.
- Responsible for executing and maintaining internal controls over stock compensation as part of Flywire’s Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance program.
- Advise HR People Partners, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Payroll and FlyMates on stock compensation, including plan mechanics, country tax requirements, grant guidelines, etc.
- Support the design, development, and ongoing reporting of stock compensation activities to the Internal Compensation Team, E-Team and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improving the design, efficiency, and effectiveness of Stock Programs. And act as change agent to develop, implement and communicate process improvements, policy enhancements and other change initiatives.
- Provide insights on best practices and regional requirements on stock compensation and related tax and statutory requirements.
- Support drafting of stock disclosures for SEC reporting (10Q’s, 10-Ks and Proxy) and other public filings; statutory reporting; and related auditor requests.
- Create and maintain training materials, reference guides, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and Communications for Stock Compensations plans.
- Collects and analyzes data for stock compensation trends, effectiveness, efficiency, and reporting requirements; monitors effectiveness of stock compensation systems and recommends enhancements; prepares business cases and supporting analytics for compensation initiatives.
- Support stock compensation forecasts and budgeting analyses.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

- Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, master’s degree a plus.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience, with at least two in an oversight role overseeing stock compensation plans.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with experience providing customer service to employees and internal stakeholders.
- Track record as a project manager and problem solver.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate cross functionally.
- Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements related to global stock compensation plans.
- Ability to multitask.
- Experience with internal controls in a public company subject to Sarbanes Oxley a plus.
- Certification a plus – Certified Equity Professional (CEP) or similar.
