The Opportunity:

We, at Flywire, are seeking a Manager, Internal Audit. In this role you’ll:

  • Be a dynamic strategic thinker with passion to build, innovate and continuously add value
  • Act as Subject matter expert and advisor on SOX, COSO framework, GAAP, IIA standards 
  • Have a proven track record to plan and deliver high quality internal audits (IA), process reviews and SOX efforts with minimal supervision as follows:  
    • IA: Entity, process or fraud risk assessments; data analysis; audit planning, budget and sourcing;  walkthroughs; controls documentation inclusive of automated controls (flowcharts, narratives, risk & control matrices from scratch); testing, gap identification, recommendations and tracking. General understanding of IT
    • SOX: Walkthroughs, SOX test plans from scratch, segregation of duties analyses, control deficiency identification, aggregation and remediation tracking to closure. General understanding of SOC 1 reviews, IT general controls, segregation of duties analysis and key report testing.
  • Develop reports and presents results from audits, SOX testing and other key initiatives to supervisor, leadership and other key stakeholders.  
  • Liaise/align with auditors, regulators, etc. to build efficiencies and maximize reliance 
  • Create/evolve IA procedures, automation and metrics to optimize efficiency and value; (includes selection and implementation of internal audit tool)
  • Have strong knowledge of process maturity model and ERM principles
  • Able to develop/deliver risk and controls training to strengthen control environment  
  • Empower/develop staff for higher roles through goals, evals and continual feedback
  • Build relationships and establishes strong internal and external networks
  • Oversee/manage 3rd party consultants (cost/benefit analysis, bidding, cost optimization)

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance at an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of internal audit and SOX experience (2-3 years in public accounting required, Big Four preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and project management skills
  • Certification such as CPA, CIA and/or CISA or equivalent
  • Expert in SOX, COSO, GAAP and IIA standards/methodology
  • IT audit experience or oversight of IT audit is a plus!

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000 - $148,000 plus RSUs and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
