Alyse Kwapien, Director of Cash Management & Bursar, University of Connecticut
Being a former student at UConn myself, I understand the experience of being on that frontline cashier. I've learned what students are asking, what their needs are, and now being at the bursar at the director of the department, I have a voice at the table when determining policies and procedures that are going to directly impact the students.
There's a student recently that I was talking with who was trying to figure out how to cover the gap in what they were gonna owe the university that their aid and grants weren't covering. So we were able to discuss payment plans that we have at the university that was really beneficial for the student.
Flywire gives us more ability to have more payment plan options for students. So before using Flywire, we had one set payment plan. It was limited number of installments and some students took advantage of it, but it just really wasn't a one size fits all best approach for our population. So with Flywire, we are able to extend the payment plans throughout longer this semester, and we've actually doubled our enrollment in payment plans now that we've moved to Flywire.
A Flywire dá-nos a possibilidade de ter mais opções de planos de pagamento para os estudantes. Conseguimos prolongar os planos de pagamento e, na verdade, duplicámos as nossas inscrições nos planos de pagamento agora que passámos para a Flywire.
