We, at Flywire, are looking for a smart, diligent, and experienced Commission Accountant to support the finance department for our Company. This individual should strive for excellence in their work, be a great team player, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. The Commission Accountant will serve on the global Finance team and report directly to the Global Payroll Specialist, who is based in Valencia.
The Opportunity
- Calculate commissions on a monthly and quarterly basis for all eligible Flymates
- Review and recalculate commissions and referral fees paid to third party partners/vendors
- Prepare various commission journal entries to support month end close process
- Prepare reconciliations to support month end and quarter end close process
- Review annual commission plans for changes to policies and ensure commission calculations are updated based on new plans
- Review partner, customer and vendor agreements to ensure validity of third-party commission and referral fee calculations
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks
- Assist with annual statutory audits and other audits as required
- Support other members of the finance team as needed
Here’s What We’re Look For:
- B.S. in Business Administration, Economics or Accounting
- 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, working in a
Finance department with strong analytical skills - Strong knowledge and understanding of Excel
- Experience with NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERP is preferred
- A proactive mentality, as well as strong organisation and coordination
skills; this individual will be working with many departments in
different countries - Attention to detail with a concern for quality
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with
discretion and maturity - Fluency in English, as it is the company’s working language; other
languages are a plus
