Flywire is looking for a Presales Engineer to lead our solution based product meetings and demonstrations with our key prospects to ensure they understand the value of Flywire. As a passionate technologist you will be able to explain deep student network concepts to an audience of IT Professionals and business stakeholders at colleges and universities across the US. We are passionate about our product and Education, which drives success in this role. If you are a technical leader in the Education space, with the experience of an engineer, and also like to build customer relationships, this is the role for you! This FlyMate will be reporting directly into our Chief Technology Officer and working closely with our incredible sales team!
Key Responsibilities
Deliver product, technical briefings, and presentations to potential clients.
Own technical engagement with customers and communicate Flywire’s value, while working with potential customers through issues or concerns to develop and determine a successful outcome.
Technically close complex opportunities through advanced industry knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
Take a deep technical dive with the Director of IT or a programmer and also be able to convey these technical concepts to a Director of Student Financial Services or Bursar.
Partner with internal engineering teams and provide feedback regarding our product and the competitive landscape to continuously innovate Flywire and stay on the cutting edge of customer needs.
Support and partner with Sales FlyMates on all elements of the sales process including training, client presentations, proposals, and technical reviews through the close of new business.
Develop a deep understanding of Flywire’s product capabilities, integrations, configurations, and partner ecosystem.
Stay informed of the competitive landscape
Build and grow a team

FlyMate Skills & Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in pre sales engineering in the Higher Education space
Bachelor’s Degree Required (master’s preferred)
5+ years of experience with Student Information Systems such as Oracle Campus Solutions, Workday, and Ellucian Banner
Experience selling to Higher Education clients
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Proven technical skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities
Ability to explain technical concepts to both highly technical and nontechnical stakeholders
High degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers
