Flywire Charitable Foundation

The Flywire Charitable Foundation is committed to improving access to quality education and healthcare. By doing so, we strive to create a more inclusive, just and equitable society, where every individual can explore new cultures and experiences across borders, regardless of one’s background.

Our Vision

A future where individuals and communities all over the world have equal access to the resources needed to improve their outcomes, regardless of one’s race, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.

This starts with closing the affordability gap for individuals seeking to access high quality healthcare, education and other life experiences, no matter where they are in the world.

Our Vision

Our Pillars

Our mission and vision stand on three pillars:

Creating an inclusive and just society hinges on the notion that we’re all equals, regardless of our race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. We commit to supporting initiatives that reduce racial and other societal disparities.

Equality

Creating an inclusive and just society hinges on the notion that we’re all equals, regardless of our race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. We commit to supporting initiatives that reduce racial and other societal disparities.

Action starts with access and we commit to ensuring minority populations have access to the same educational, healthcare and cultural opportunities that majority populations do.

Access

Action starts with access and we commit to ensuring minority populations have access to the same educational, healthcare and cultural opportunities that majority populations do.

Across the world, the cost of education and healthcare exceed individuals’ ability to pay. We commit to finding solutions that reduce this affordability gap.

Affordability

Across the world, the cost of education and healthcare exceed individuals’ ability to pay. We commit to finding solutions that reduce this affordability gap.

Our Scholarships

The Flywire Charitable Foundation scholarships were awarded to students in need to help them better manage costs associated with their education. In 2020 we awarded students who had academic pursuits in the following disciplines:

Global health and medicine

The devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic reveals an urgent need to accelerate the world’s focus on improving public health. These scholarships aim to help train the next generation of highly-skilled health and medical experts.

Social justice

Continued racism against Black individuals and communities in the United States and around the world underscores the need for significant social justice reform. These scholarships aim to support tomorrow’s leaders who will commit to eradicating racism, violence and other acts of intolerance against minorities.
