The Opportunity:
We, at Flywire, are seeking an experienced People leader to support our next chapter of growth! This role will be both strategic and hands-on, improving organizational effectiveness and design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching, and driving excellence throughout our organization. As Flywire’s VP, P&C Manager for the Americas , you will partner with the business units throughout the planning and execution of FlyMate (employee) programs, tying them back to business strategy and planning. You will also lead the P&C function, which includes employee relations, internal communications, culture, organizational change, operations, and compensation. A successful candidate will connect with FlyMates at all levels, possess excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen, and be excited to collaborate with FlyMates across America!
Function as a business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute critical business and organizational strategies.
Provide strategic partnership and mentorship to employees and people managers at all levels in the Americas to positively impact the development, motivation, and retention of talent.
Ensure policies, practices, and programs are administered in an equitable and consistent manner.
Lead the development and execution of talent management processes such as quarterly and annual performance and talent reviews, succession planning, and engagement exercises in partnership with business leadership and the broader People & Culture team.
Assess training needs and conduct 1:1 and group training sessions as appropriate
Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and FlyMate experience in order to recommend systemic improvements
Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job re-leveling
Work with people managers and FlyMates to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests
Oversee management of onboarding processes and have prior experience with visa requests, sponsorship management, relocation requirements, and benefits based on state regulation.
Work with business groups to assess, create, and implement, innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within the client group.
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of seven (7) years in a leadership position in Human Resources and/or Business Partner Function.
Ability to utilize HR metrics and analytics to partner with business leaders.
Strong experience in performance management and people strategy.
Prior experience with benefits, compensation structures, and visa documentation
Demonstrated success in both corporate and high-growth organizations.
Demonstrated ability to show excellent judgment, training/coaching, and creative problem-solving.
Well-developed managerial style, with a strong emphasis on team-building and teamwork.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and U.S. employment law.
Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing, and problem solving
Bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field and/or HR certification preferred.
