The Opportunity:

  • Prepare and process multiple payrolls for employees in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Work closely with the People & Culture (HR) and Finance teams to ensure the accuracy of the payroll data, including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers, variable compensation inputs, and job information changes.
  • Responsible for payroll tax payments/filing returns including ensuring transactions are compliant with federal and state laws, internal payroll policies and practices, applying for withholding/SUI account numbers, and powers of attorney.
  • Work with third parties to research and resolve tax withholding and filing matters
  • Build and run custom payroll reports in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Import payroll files into our benefit vendors’ systems.
  • Carry out communications with Finance and payroll providers, creating and maintaining files as needed.
  • Maintain and update employee information within Expensify and NetSuite.
  • Review employee expense reports.
  • Assist with annual statutory audits and other audits as required.
  • Support other members of the Finance team as needed.

Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience administering payroll.
  • Practical knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a must.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERP is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State and local payroll tax regulations including withholding, depositing, and reporting is required.
  • Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures.
  • A proactive mentality, as well as strong organization and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail with a concern for quality.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maturity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
