Flywire Fusion 2024 Recap & Takeaways

Relive the fun and learning from the 2024 Flywire Fusion U.S. Education Client Conference & Awards Ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona.

Conference takeaways

Over three days, more than 100 attendees from public and private institutions gathered in Phoenix to talk about how they are making the financial path to higher education smoother for all students — whether they live in the U.S. or come to study from somewhere else in the world – and learn more about how Flywire is continually innovating technology to help them do just that.

Insights on the international student experience

Speakers and audience members alike shared insights (some surprising) on the student journey that gives a deeper understanding of what international students are up against and how institutions can enhance the support they provide to improve overall experience.

4 steps to cross-campus alignment

By integrating support for financial aid, student business services, and other enrollment offices into Aggie One Stop, Texas A&M University can now address multiple student needs in one interaction. Staff shared their experience of working towards cross-campus alignment during a lively presentation at Flywire Fusion.

Fusion Star Award winners

After a day of connecting and collaborating, Flywire Fusion attendees strolled down the “Blue Carpet” and into the first Flywire Fusion Star Awards ceremony, where U.S. higher education institutions had the chance to celebrate one another and the contributions they make to ensuring student success.

  • Fusion has been a great networking event. I like the fact that Fusion is different content from regular student financial services conferences you go to. It’s more innovative and more based on, ‘what can we do for you.

  • Attending Flywire Fusion has been fantastic. We can have those open conversations with the other schools, but also people from Flywire as well. They get to hear our voice and our opinion, and it feels like we have some input and buy-in the product.
