Global payments company Flywire has partnered with South Korean education solutions company UwayApply to provide a convenient and secure payment experience for international students applying to and attending South Korea’s universities and language schools. With the South Korean government aiming to attract 300,000 international students to the country by 2027, this partnership comes at a time when providing an easy way for international students to pay application and tuition fees will be more important than ever.
Uwayapply has built an excellent reputation on its market-leading online application platform, Uwayapply.com. Currently Uwayapply.com is used by more than 300 institutions in South Korea, the majority of universities and language schools in the country. With the experience of operating an excellent online application platform service, Uwayapply are expanding into the field of student management with the launch of Uway Foreign Student Tuition Payment Solution and Language School Management Solution.
In the past, Uway struggled to find a robust overseas payment solution for its customers, in particular language schools. Challenges included limited payment options and integrations that created work instead of reducing it. By forging this partnership with Flywire, Uway now has a global payment solution integrated into their products and, as a result, Flywire is able to accelerate its strategic penetration of the Korean market through alignment with a market-leader.

Uwayapply and Flywire are already in discussions to expand the pre-built Flywire integration into Uwayapply.com’s application process later this year.
