As Co-President of Global Education, Sharon Butler leads Flywire’s go-to-market execution and customer outcomes for the company’s largest vertical. As Flywire’s first employee, Sharon has been foundational to the company’s success, guiding the Education business through every stage of growth over the past 15 years. A pioneer in the education payment space, she has been instrumental in evangelizing the importance of the student payment experience on a global scale, leading a team that now represents education clients across 240 countries and territories.
In her current role, Sharon focuses on deepening strategic partnerships across the higher education ecosystem and scaling Flywire’s global impact. Her deep understanding of global markets has enabled the expansion of Flywire’s comprehensive receivables solution to meet the evolving needs of institutions worldwide. Prior to Flywire, Sharon held leadership roles at Tuition Management Systems and SkyTel (a division of Verizon Business). She holds a degree in Communications with a minor in Business from Bridgewater State University.
