Is the scholarship program available to all countries?

In order to comply with global financial regulations, we can only consider applications if the institution the applicant is attending is located in one of the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Curacao, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, British Virgin Islands.

Why did Flywire change the eligibility requirements?

We changed the eligibility criteria in 2023 due to an increase in the number of scholarship applications received in previous years. By limiting the geographic scope of the scholarship and focusing on undergraduate students, we can effectively manage and disburse scholarships to the winners in a timely manner.

How will I be notified of the results?

If you are selected as a winner, you will receive an email notification from [email protected] by Friday, July 21st. Please ensure that this email address is added to your contacts. Check back on our website to see if winners have been selected. If winners have been selected and you did not receive an email, unfortunately, you were not selected as a winner of the 2023 scholarship.

I am having trouble with the GoodGrants platform. What should I do?

If you are experiencing difficulties with the platform, try clearing your computer cache and logging back in. If the problem persists, check out Good Grant’s applicant FAQ section.

I already created a login. Why is it making me create a new one?

We refreshed all of the user accounts for the new season. If the system is not recognizing your old login, please create a new login and password for the 2023 season.

What should I put in the Applicant Name field on GoodGrants?

Please enter your full name in this field.

How long should my responses to the application questions be?

Responses should be shorter than the character limit imposed within the fields of the application. There is no minimum length.

Can I submit an application for more than one category?

No, you are only allowed to submit a scholarship application for one category of your choice.

I’ve applied in previous years, can I still apply?

Yes, if you meet the eligibility criteria for the 2023 scholarship cycle, you are welcome to reapply again this year.

Am I able to edit my application once I've submitted it?

No, once you have submitted your application, you may not edit it. Please ensure you check your essay over carefully before submitting.

Do I need to be currently enrolled to apply, or is proof of previous admission enough?

You must be able to verify your enrollment during the academic term starting in the immediately upcoming academic term or semester. Should you win, we will work with you to secure the necessary documents to prove eligibility.

I am graduating this year, or I have deferred my enrollment until next term. Can I still apply for the scholarship?

You must be studying at an accredited university or college during the academic term starting in immediately upcoming academic term or semester. Funds cannot be deferred for a future term.

I am not formally registered at my institution yet. Can I still apply?

You may still apply as long as you will be enrolled in the upcoming term. Flywire will request proof of enrollment by the time we disburse funds when/if you are selected as a winner.

Can the scholarship be used for fees? Room & Board? Other?

Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to your school account and can be used for anything your institution allows those funds to be used for. Typically, they are utilized for Tuition & Fees, but please direct this question to your institution to see what else they may be used for.

I do not have financial need. Can I still receive this scholarship?

Financial need is not a requirement to receive this scholarship, but please check with your institution about their policies on receiving scholarship funding on top of any existing scholarships, funding, or financial aid you may already have been awarded.

Who should I contact at my school to confirm that the funds have been sent?

Please contact the department at your school that is responsible for billing, tuition & fees, or scholarships.

How are funds disbursed for winners?

The funds will be sent directly to your school after verification of valid enrollment. We will connect with your institution, confirm enrollment and work within the institution's payment process to disburse funds to your account. Please contact the appropriate individual at your school to confirm the process and receipt of funds.
