Best Price Guarantee for bank transfers: Terms and conditions

Flywire aims to provide the best price for international payments. If you find a better rate at your bank within two hours of booking a local currency bank transfer payment (including Boleto payments from Brazil) with Flywire, we will match it.

Eligibility and Criteria

  1. Valid Payment Methods: Best Price Guarantee is valid only for payments booked via local currency bank transfer, including Boleto payments from Brazil, that require a currency conversion.
  2. Excluded Payment Methods: Other payment methods (e.g Alipay,Online debit/credit cards, e-wallets, eBanking, online banking) are NOT eligible for Best Price Guarantee.
  3. Exclusion of Payments With Discount Codes. If you are redeeming a discount code in connection with your payment, you are NOT eligible for Best Price Guarantee.
  4. Application Timing: Funds must NOT be paid to Flywire or its local partners before submitting the application and receiving an approval/denial email. Applications made after Flywire or its local partners receive the funds are invalid.
  5. Request Amount: Valid only for the amount requested (in the intended recipient's billing currency) in your original submission.
  6. Exchange Rates and Rate Sources: Rates quoted for forex currency exchange without a bank transfer are NOT eligible. Indicative rates, mid-market rates, or quotes from sources like Yahoo rates, Google rates, or similar foreign exchange rate providers are NOT acceptable forms of proof.
  7. Fee Inclusion: The total amount quoted by your bank should include all fees associated with sending the same amount to the same country via Flywire. If the associated fees potentially charged by your bank are not included, we may apply a flat fee based on market-standard bank charges for wire transfers.
  8. Time Frame: Foreign exchange rate and associated fees comparison should be within a two-hour time frame of the booking on Flywire.
  9. Limit on Requests: Limit of one approved request per payer within a 72-hour period.
  10. Communication: Acceptance or denial of the program will only be communicated by email.

Document requirements

Proof in the form of a bank document, a screenshot is required. It must include the following:

  • Official bank foreign exchange rateshowing the selling rate and all associated fees (Yahoo rates, Google rates, or similar foreign exchange rate sources are NOT acceptable forms of proof).
  • Official bank foreign exchange rate for the same amount booked on Flywire
  • The name of the sender must appear on the document, or show that you are logged in.
  • Total price in local currency, including all associated fees and taxes (when applicable), to send the same amount in destination currency to the same country on your Flywire booking.
  • A clear date and time stamp (within 2 hours of your Flywire booking).

Submitting your claim via Online Chat Form

  1. Please note that we no longer accept BPG applications via email. Submit your application through our online Chatbot form. Flywire will review and determine eligibility within 1 - 2 business days, and our support team will contact you via email with approval or denial and an explanation. Do not send funds before receiving our decision.
  2. If you qualify for the Best Price Guarantee, please instruct your bank to send the payment in your local currency. Do not instruct your bank to pay at their quoted rate or in the intended recipient’s billing currency. This may cause the payment to be delayed and/or incur additional costs.
